Welcome
A message from the rector.....
THE ONLY HOPE IN A WORLD OF TURMOIL AND UNCERTAINTY
The more things change, the more they stay the same. I am sure you have heard that statement before. It is true. Though our world is always changing with new technology, new leaders, new governments, and new fads, one thing remains the same: All people need the Lord Jesus Christ. Man's heart has not changed. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 17:9 that the human heart is deceitful beyond all things and desperately corrupt. Only a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ can truly change us into the people God has created to be. Such is our vision statement. But our mission is to see that vision realized in our own lives and in our community. Your membership in Christ's Body, the Church, is expressed through your belonging to St. Bartholomew's. We are a family. But we are a family on mission - to see every man, woman, and child in our region to be exposed to Christ's truth and love as many times possible.
How do we do that?
Recall our mission statement: to share Christ's love and His Word through Christ-centered outreach, worship, prayer, and biblical study. All are necessary if we are truly going to be faithful to our mission. So I ask you and every member of our parish family - How are you doing in those four areas of mission? Are you responding to the opportunities that are offered when they arise? Will you be found faithful when our Lord returns?
In Christ,
~Fr. Ward
